More light, please!
Today I learned. It will be one of those days when, once put his head on the pillow, I'll say "ok, the day was a major step forward."
At 14.30 I had an appointment with our dear Jaak, but not in his office in Paldiski Mantee but in the hospital. Yes, Jaak has been there for quite a while, at least 15 days, as it is not too good. He had an infection in his leg in August that could cost him dear, it all seemed past, a common flu but it has weakened and the virus infection (which had remained latent) has spread. Or so he told me in our Estonian-Engl.
Müstamäe Hospital is the largest in Estonia, a tower block white with some red vertical line. Jaak waiting for me in the lobby entrance. E 'on the phone when I arrive, sitting in a wheelchair. His foot is still bandaged, his face felt very pale, legs are thin, so many properties now days. I've been to see him so bad for him, is a young boy, turns 40 in a few days. I have come immediately to mind two things, two parallel flash: his stories of when he was a swimmer in the Estonian national, and grandfather, Gino.
Jaak, a big man of 190 cm and perhaps more, at the time of CCCP was in the district of Estonia's national swimming (obviously was not independent yet). He told me of his retreats in Siberia, races, stronger than it was in those years. And I said many times that all his comrades have since become Swim important people in business in Estonia because the sport as they did was a great school. And the grandfather Gino
by analogy, the last and only person close to me I've seen sitting in a wheelchair. His eyes and the eyes of Jaak were the same, a bit shiny to say, "you do not know how bad you are watching the world and not being able to walk."
's right, I do not know. I've always been all right, I could choose every day whether to stay relaxed, sitting or stand up, walking, running, traveling. The possibility Choice is what makes a person happy, free and peaceful.
Our meeting two Oretta was anything but a complaint by her about her condition. He, former CEO of Saku Brewery (account is the Italian Peroni) and Kalev Land (Italian Ferrero makes the account), went straight to the point where we had to discuss, we held meetings in Tartu on Friday, we have concluded the contract with Stockmann Riga, we planned the next moves on Tallinn. In addition, on Sunday afternoon, I will return to see him get together for submission to the EAS, the very important meeting on Monday.
Just as if we were in his office in Paldinski Mantee. Needless to say, I
admired for his strong will and her spirit warrior, an athlete.
Thank you for what you're doing, dear Jaak.
